MLS C01 Application of Emerging Technologies in Libraries

We are living in an era of Science and Technology. Innovations in information and communication technologies have brought about drastic changes in each and every field of human life. This fast growth of ICT has put a huge impact on libraries and information centres also. So libraries are now focusing on quality services and products to deliver among their clients. Upon completing the course, one would be able to understand the application of emerging technologies in libraries like Artificial Intelligence, Expert Systems, Robotics and Virtual Reality

Objectives of the Course:

The objective of the course is to provide an understanding of the following aspects:

• Application of emerging technologies in libraries with special reference to Artificial intelligence, Expert system, Robotics and Virtual reality

• Need for these technologies in routine activities in libraries

• Delivery of quality services and products with the help of these technologies
